Love’s Provision for Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

The year was 1947, and I was a young boy sitting in the back seat of my parent’s car. As we drove up to Arden Wood, I can remember thinking what a massive and beautiful building it was. We were visiting my aunt, who was a patient there. My initial impression was only the beginning. Walking through the impressive double entry doors, I was struck by the quietness, and I felt an enveloping love that I will never forget. It was a healing atmosphere that I still feel today because God’s Love and goodness are forever ongoing. The infinite nature of harmony and peace are continually bestowed on us, and that was what I was experiencing that day, even though I was not then fully aware of it.

Decades have gone by, and my attachment to Arden Wood has been ongoing. Through the years, my wife and I have periodically visited Arden Wood for rest and study, even though we lived several hundred miles away. There is no place quite like Arden Wood; to be able to spend hours in peaceful bliss in the library or study room is priceless—beyond measure.

When the decision was made to bring my wife to Arden Wood for professional care, my appreciation and love for the Christian Science nurses grew exponentially. The healing mission of Arden Wood is vital for the community and for the world.

It is important for me to support Arden Wood in any way I can—by attending special events, staying for study time, offering financial support and including Arden Wood in my living trust. Arden Wood is such a beacon of light for me because the dedication and love expressed by the staff are unparalleled. Arden Wood will always have a special place in my heart, for Arden Wood is Love’s provision.
